License for Flemish Cycling Organization

Avram Kahan earned some coins running bicycle races in the flemish villages. Winners could get a few franks as reward.

Hereunder is the license for Avram Kahan valid till October 31st, 1940 for the Flemish Cycling Organization (Vlaamsche Wielerbond). It does not mention when the license starts, nor when it was the requested.

Interesting is that he registered under the name Adolf, versus Avram, probably the best bet to escape antisemitic hunt of the time. I can't help but to see there a touch of (jewish) humour. Probably the first and last time amongst all these documents. If we assume that licenses are valid 1 year, then the requests would have been done in October 1940, and the fact he changed his name is a clear sign, to me, that he did not underestimate the danger of bearing his name.
The adress mentionned is Lange Lozannastraat 31, Antwerpen. That is a clear evidence that he did not live anymore with his parents and brother and sisters for which several documents testify they all lived Lange Kievitstraat.
